 The National Seniors Council condemns the crooked deal secured by U.S. Senator Ben Nelson in exchange for his all important vote for President Obama's government-run health care bill. In exchange for his vote for slashing Medicare funding by nearly half a trillion dollars and allowing the Federal government to begin seizing control of the nation's health care industry, Nelson received potentially billions of tax dollars for Nebraska's Medicaid program for the poor. Senator Nelson is thumbing his nose at America's senior citizens and taxpayers in order to grab some cash for his state. The Senate is currently scheduled to vote to advance the government-run health care bill late on Christmas Even when most Americans are asleep.
